Pracovitá ako včelička – As busy (hardworking) as a bee
Byť ako papagáj – To repeat everything like a parrot
Tvrdohlavý ako baran – Stubborn like a ram
Je ako slon v porceláne – To be like an elephant among porcelain
To je starý lišiak – He’s as cunning as an old fox
Mať hrošiu kožu - To have the skin of a hippo – very thick skin
Je veľké zviera - To be a big animal – to have a high post, position, a person who’s pulling strings
Zdravý ako ryba – To be healthy as a fish
Ustatý ako kôň – As tired (exhausted) as a horse
Pomalý ako slimák – As slow as a snail
Šťastný ako blcha – As happy as a flea
