President sends post box bill back to Parliament

Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) is perplexed at the situation, as President Andrej Kiska has used his Presidential right to send the new law, which was supposed to make it harder to bypass the government tender process, back to parliament. "We could not have thought of a better way, than to stop these post box firms from accessing the tender process in Slovakia" said Fico, in Brussels but admitted that it is his right to do so. The opposition fiercely criticised the bill as it passed through parliament aided by the Smer majority, Fico added that it is a shame as now it will not become law as of 1 January, but declined to comment further "I will not like to comment, as I really do not understand the reasoning behind the President's decision," he said.
