President Kiska calls to join forces to fight extremism and animosity

Both the governing coalition and the opposition will be held accountable if animosity, the poor condition of health care, problems in education or a lack in the rule of law dominate society this electoral term, said President Andrej Kiska speaking in Parliament after the Government Manifesto was approved on Tuesday night. He added that a rise in aggressiveness is one of the things currently troubling people in Slovakia the most.
"Let's attempt to understand the causes, and let's try to address this trend - here in Parliament, as well as on social networks," said Kiska, adding that Slovakia needs a coalition to build a dam against extremism and fascism, and return faith and optimism to Slovakia. Meanwhile, Kiska said that he sees real scope for improvement in health care this electoral term. He also believes that changes are necessary in education. We've been neglecting education for a long time, and now we've come to understand that it isn't only about developing students' professional abilities but also for them to be able to distinguish between truth and falsehood, good and evil, and criticism and extremism, added President Kiska.
