Czech President calls Kotleba's party fascist; blames media

Czech President Miloš Zeman called Marian Kotleba's far-right Kotleba - Ľudová strana Naše Slovensko (People's Party - Our Slovakia) fascist and claimed that Slovak media have contributed to the growth of its popularity. This was announced by news website iDNES.cz on Monday. Zeman made the comment on the result of Slovak general election during his meeting with representatives of Karlovy Vary region. "I offered my congratulations to (Prime Minister) Robert Fico on the election victory. Without any meddling into Slovak domestic affairs, I'm quite surprised to see the growth to some eight percent of a party that I consider to be fascist. I'm expecting Mr. Kotleba to sue me over this, which will be one of many criminal complaints I'm facing", said Zeman. "I said that with their campaign against Robert Fico, Slovak media have contributed to the growth of this Kotleba's fascist party", added Zeman.
