Zuzana Botiková takes you on a walk through the Old Town of Bratislava, which will be a bit different to those you may have already encountered. The underlined topic of this tour will be the colourful multi-cultural background of the Slovak capital. A quick explanation: in the past, Bratislava was known as Pressburg in German or Pozsony in Hungarian. The narrow streets of the historic downtown might reveal even more solid references to the ethnic groups that used to live here.
Thanks to the initiative of the Centre for the Research of Ethnicity and Culture, tour guides from two Bratislava based civic associations Bratislavské rožky and M_P_ BA came together and prepared a walk through the old, multi-cultured Bratislava. So, let's begin!
