Economist Tomáš Sedláček: “Will stealing be ok if a model shows it increases GDP?“

Although he is only in his mid-30s Tomáš Sedláček has already managed to advise a former Czech President, a Finance Minister, a major commercial bank – as well as publishing a couple of best sellers which aimed at bringing economics closer to the hearts of ordinary people. One has been translated into English too. Oh, and he is also teaching the philosophy and history of economic thinking and theories at the Charles University in Prague. So how would he evaluate Czech and Slovaks’ level of knowledge about how the economy works, generally? Are there any differences between the two countries?
