The Slovak National Theatre has premiered the theatre-cinema project Fanny and Alexander. staging based on the Oscar awardee film by the Swedish director Ingmar Bergman introduces theatre goers in the Slovak capital to a vivid method of mixing live acting on stage and in film. Despite the fact that theatre performances involving the live screening of happenings on stage has been present at world theatre houses for over 2 decades, this is one of the rare examples of such a staging in Slovakia. Thanks to the famous story, it is also suitable for foreign audiences.
